Over the weekend I made a box for my pen and ink pen. First I carved out a space for my pen and a couple for my nibs. I lined the in side of the crevasse with soft foam. That allowed me to have easy access to the pen and nibs but tucked away when the box was closed. I made the box top and bottom out of an old bed post that I had laying around. I had some old hinges so I attached them to the back using glue and self tapping wood screws. For the latch I found the middle of the top and bottom of the box and added a screw to each, so I could attach the latch. I made the latch out of brass tub and bent it in to a e shape then secured it to the box.

Practice my carving skills to do a better job.
